Of course, we could have driven home in one go, but the beauty of traveling in a motorhome is that you can take your time and break up endless drives into easily "digestible" bites. That's exactly what we have in mind when we decide to stop for the night at Lac de Madine in Lorraine. There are two fillets of Charolais beef in the fridge, three of the delicious potatoes from Noirmoutier in the cupboard and two carrots from Brittany - all in all an excellent meal.
The place at the lake offers a wonderful view of swans and other paddle-footers, but otherwise the campground has already gone into winter dormancy and so we stand with some other steadfast campers under somewhat adventurous conditions on a yawningly empty place. We let the trip pass in review with a glass of Loire wine.
Traveling by motorhome is actually a piece of freedom that you can rent. Once the "Wanderlust" has taken hold, motorhome travel quickly becomes a way of life. Given the very large number of motorhomes that are now on the road throughout Europe, one does well to prepare for a trip. The selection of books that give useful hints and tips for pitches and campsites is large, and so you can save a lot of time and frustration if you can rely on the advice of experienced travelers.
Basically, however, traveling "into the blue" is also huge fun. For those who are taking to the road for the first time with a mobile, a smaller model is certainly appropriate to make the transition from car to "transporter" well. With Niesmann Caravaning, you have a partner who can provide advice and tips and make the new way of traveling a great experience from day one. We have already been on the road in many countries and have often rented motorhomes locally, none was even close to a mobile from Niesmann Caravaning to compare. What can quickly become an adventure of the unpleasant variety abroad is no problem here at Niesmann Caravaning thanks to high quality standards.
